It sure was a good treat to talk to you again yesterday. I enjoy it everytime I get to talk to you. Now it will be 7 months before I talk to you and by that time I will basically be coming home. That is a sad thing to think about. Dang, I can’t believe my sd card doesnt work and all the pictures are lost. That is a real big bummer. I’ll see if I can get a lot of pictures from Elder Lee and Elder Mcrae before he goes home to see if I can just get the ones I need. Its also fine because I print my pictures in hard copy form so I still have a lot of pictures off of that card. Enough to remember my mission. Its ok. I enjoyed the conversation. It went by really fast. It was nice to hear everyone’s voices again. Happy Mothers day again mom and happy birthday Hillary.

So, Transfers are in two days. I know everything that is going to happen with me and Elder Tanner. Elder Tanner was interviewed by President Baker last night and he will be transfered to Lawndale to be a zone leader for the South Bay Zone. He will be with Elder Simmons. Elder Simmons companion, Elder Brady, is going to be my new companion here in San Pedro. So basically we just switched companions. Pretty funny huh? Elder Brady is a red head kid that is a good missionary. He is a cool kid too. I am excited to be with him but a little sad that Elder Tanner is leaving. We got along really well. Its a good change though. The area needs to see a new face. They saw Elder Tanner’s face for 8 months. They need a change so it will be good. I am excited. The cool thing now is that I get to know transfers two days early instead of Tuesday night. Thats kind of nice. A lot is changing in the mission because we aren’t baptizing as much as last year. We are in a little drought as a mission so President Baker is making a lot of companionship changes to help the mission progress more. He told Elder Tanner specifically to baptize in South Bay. So we will see how this next transfer goes.

We only had one investigator at church and that was Tony. His girlfriend and daughter didn’t come. It was a disappointing week at church because everyone that said they were going ended up not going. Tony was our lone survivor. Anyways, it was a good Mother’s Day service and every mom got a rose for Mother’s Day. It was nice. Katie is still tough to contact. Trinity’s mom didn’t come to church so that means Trinity didn’t go to church which is a tough situation. Teyman didn’t come to church either. It is tough to contact him as well. We need to find more investigators that will progress. This area is a little harder than my other areas. I want to find people to baptize.

Anyways family, I love you and it was great talking to you. I hope everyone has a good week!
Love,
Elder Kevin Jones
